Congratulations to the Forsan Cross Country teams for their success at the District 1A meet in Irion County yesterday.

In the Varsity Girls division, Kayla Tilley placed 15^th and just missed going to Regionals by 10 seconds. Kay’C Stanley placed 21^st, Ambra Hill placed 32^nd, Korina Christian placed 34^th, Chellsie Clay placed 47^th, and Brianna Park placed 50^th to help the girls team place 6^th overall.

In the Varsity Boys division, Forsan dominated the competition by scoring an almost perfect 21 points and running away with first place. Kyle Stevenson brought home the district gold medal by placing 1^st and running a time of 17:33. PJ Horton brought home the district silver medal by placing 2^nd and also running under 18 minutes. Elgen Suazo placed 6^th overall. Dillon Bagnall was the 4^th buffalo in the top 10 by placing 10^th. Evan Burton placed 13^th, JP Barber placed 15 and Dillon Walker placed 22^nd. The guys became the 3^rd District Championship team in the last 4 years and are looking to place in the top three in the regional meet to go to state.

The Jr. High results for District Cross Country yesterday are: 7th grade girls were District Champions. Alexis Smith took 1st place and Carlee Daniels got 2nd. Shae Giese placed 5th, Yanci Yeater was 11th and Erin Bagnall was 12th. Mary Ashley McDaniel placed 17th, Hannah Thompson placed 20th, Lexie Willis was 32nd, Kelia Smoot came in 34th and Christian Gamble was 40th. Congratulations to the 7th grade girls.

Sloan Miller competed for the 7th grade boys and took 17th place.

The 8th Grade Girls took District Runner Up. Raegan Haggard placed 2nd, Brittney Hergert was 6th and Breana Madry came in 7th. Rachel Haggard came in 17th, followed by Chandler Freeman in 19th. Falon Newton came in 21st followed by Ali Knight in 22nd. Elizabeth Rhodes was 31st, Vannessa Highfield was 33rd, Amanda Shafer was 35th, Maria Ortiz was 37th and Jahnia Willard came in 46th. Congratulations to the 8th grade girls.

The 8th Grade Boys were also District Runner Up. Matthew Mims came in 1st place, followed by Polo Morin in 6th and Covan Davidson in 9th. Nick Wilson and Diego Subia both competed in the 8th grade division. Nick took 12th place and Diego came in 13th. Congratulations to the 8th grade boys.
