Hise, Christian named top graduates at Forsan High

Heather Dawn Hise and Kesha Kay Christian are the top students in the Forsan High School 2004 graduating class and will be among 41 students to walk across the stage Friday for commencement ceremonies.

Hise, the daughter of Sally and Gary "Barney" Hise, is the class valedictorian and plans to attend the University of Texas in the fall.

During her high school career, Hise was named to the University Interscholastic League One Act Play honorable mention state cast and received the District All Academic Award for tennis.

A member of the award-winning Forsan High School band, she was captain of the color guard, a member of the fourth place 2003 state marching band and has received the band director's award.

Her extra curricular activities include serving as president of her junior class, particpating in UIL academic meetsand volunteering at the VA Hospital. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Club. Hise is also active in her church, Trinity Baptist.

Christian, the daughter of Johnny and Pam Christian, has been named salutatorian and will attend Trinity Valley Community College in Athens. She plans to major in theater.

During high school, Christian has received several awards including best actress award, all-star cast and honorable mention honors for her work in theater. She was also a member of the 2001 One Act Play cast that participated in the UIL state contest.

Also a member of the Forsan band, Christian was presented the John Phillip Sousa Award her senior year. She has also participated in UIL academic meets, power lifting, cheer leading and basketball and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Graduation ceremonies will be held at 8 p.m. in the high school gymnasium and will feature guest speaker Ken Jackson, head football coach at Sweetwater High School.

The following 2004 graduates are also members of the National Honor Society: Lyndsey Jenise Allen, Audra Lynn Bailey, Jeremy Kane Bedwell, Kenneth Ross Berry, Staci Lynn Borel, Charles Benjamin Breyman, Brandon Blake Burleson and Christian.

Also, Lacy Michelle Eggleston, Krista Pauline Gamble, Jonathan Micah Harrison, Timothy Joshua Helmstetler, Augustine Hilario, Heather Dawn Hise, Jaclyn Lane Hise, Kacy Lea Liles, Adrianna Marie Marlow, Misty Kay McGuire, Amanda Fay Moreno and Felicia Lyn Osburn.

Also graduating are: Codee Richard Barraza, Kara Christine Bingham, Michael Wayne Daniels, Stetson Gene Earls, Jonathan Sean Gomez, Michael Thomas Hall, Casie Beth Harmon, Mitchell Lee Hooper and Chad Allen James.

Christina Lea Kistler, Douglas Dean Livengood, Richard Everret Merritt, Angela Nichole Pace, Michael Jon Paredez, Erin Denise Posey, Chance Doyle Rainer, Chanz Logan Reed, Melody Ann Riley, Kandis Rae Snowden, Stefen Daniel Stone and Amanda Elizabeth Wallace.
