Voice of Democracy Contest

Forsan Students Cayley Eggleston and Justin Epley were awarded savings bonds yesterday from the VFW for winning essays in the Voice of Democracy contest.Pictured are Donald Scheiber, post commander, Caylie Eggleston, who won first place; Justin Epley, who won third; and speech teacher, Jan Sims. The contest is a part of the first semester speech curriculum and Forsan has placed  first in the contest for the last five years. The contest is open to all interested high school students each year. KBEST allows the students to record their essays for a quality tape to be submitted.
