WATER CONSERVATION ART CONTEST WINNERS NAMED
Five students at Forsan ISD Elbow Elementary
received awards from Permian Basin Underground Water Conservation District for
their water conservation artwork. Judy London, Education Coordinator for the
district, thanked all 4th and 5th graders for their contest
entries and expressed appreciation to teachers for their assistance in the
contest.
Principal Steve Osborn congratulated the
winners, and Mrs. London presented them with certificates and cash prizes. The
grand prize winner was 4th grader Brennan Highfield, who received a
$50 award. His entry, “Camping”, will be featured on the cover of the Permian
Basin UWCD 2008 Calendar.
Other winners received $25 cash awards and
will have their art published on monthly pages of the calendar. They include: 4th
grader Caden Davidson and 5th graders Breana Madry, Savannah
Robinson, and Lexi Diane Willis.

information about the calendar or other programs available through the water
education cooperative at Permian Basin UWCD, can contact Ms. London at

for classrooms, home-school groups, civic, youth, or other organizations.
