Forsan Elementary hosted the District 7-AA UIL North Zone Elementary UIL competition on Dec. 5. Forsan Elementary earned the title of District Champions with a total of 798.5 points.
“Forsan Elementary teachers and students have worked hard for the last two months preparing for this event,” Carrie Averette, Forsan Elementary Principal, said. “We are so proud of everyone’s accomplishments.”
The schools involved in the competition were Forsan Elementary, Reagan County Elementary, Sterling City Elementary, and Water Valley Elementary.
Forsan won 1st place team in the following events: 4th Art, 5th Art, 2nd Chess, 3rd Chess, 4th Chess, 2nd Music Memory, 3rd Music Memory, 4th Music Memory, 5th Maps, Graphs and Charts, 4th Number Sense, 5th Number Sense, 3rd Spelling, and 5th Spelling.
“Our students and teachers did an amazing job. These results show the result of their hard work over these past few months,” Averett said.
Forsan also won 16 individual gold medals out of 27 events and countless medals and ribbons for 2nd-6th places.
