Forsan Jr/Sr High will close the campus to students and shift over to a virtual learning environment next week. Tomorrow (Friday the 25th) will be a staff work day which means no students on campus. We will have school in an “at-home," virtual environment all of next week (September 28-October 2). Students have been provided log-in information and should be pretty comfortable with the on-line learning systems by this time but, do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or an administrator if there are questions.
Forsan Elementary will continue as normal with no changes. Buses will run for the elementary only. The elementary will go to school Friday and each day next week. Food Service will continue as normal at the elementary. A grab-and-go meal will be offered at the jr/sr high cafeteria doors for the grades 6-12 students between 11 AM and 1 PM each day next week.
Why? The secondary campus has been hit hard this week with various illnesses. Certainly, the three current COVID-19 cases are a part of that. There have been a series of students who have gone home ill this week with similar symptoms but who have been diagnosed with sinus infections, strep throat, and so on. We also have a fairly large number of students and staff who have been in "close contact" with someone who has СOVID-19 and, as a result, have moved to quarantine status. Those close contact events have been outside the school campus.
